Ira has lived in Knoxville all of his life less one year. He was raised in the Fountain City/Inskip area; and at the age of sixteen, he began working in grocery stores. He worked in various stores while attending Tennessee Institute of Electronics (now Fountainhead College of Technology). After graduating, he went to work in the onsite side of electronic repair. He eventually worked on photo processing equipment which led him to open a photography company. Ira owned and operated this company for 26 years. These years of working with the public laid the groundwork for his real estate career which he began in 2003.
After marrying his wife of 37 years, they bought their first home in the Cedar Bluff area in 1983. They resided there until 2009 when they built their current residence in Andersonville, TN. Ira has utilized all of the lakes in the local area but is most familiar with Norris Lake as he and his wife currently live on its shoreline. Fifty-seven years in the Knoxville area has made Ira very familiar with the pulse of Knoxville. In his first year in real estate he closed 20 plus transactions. Since that time, Ira has become a multimillion dollar producer. He is ethical in practice and for over seven years has served on the Knoxville Association of Realtors Grievance and Standards of Practice committee. He does not place an emphasis on the number of transactions closed or the total amount of closed volume. The important thing to Ira is the personal relationships he has created in the last fifteen years and the individuals he has helped make the largest purchases of their lives.
Ira takes pride in helping people transition out of bad situations, relocating people to our local area or selling their homes and moving out of the Knoxville and surrounding areas. In this day of rapidly advancing technology, Ira believes it is important to remember THIS IS STILL A FACE TO FACE business. He feels blessed to be in a profession of service to people and will never forget that real estate transactions can sometimes be hard to navigate. Ira’s experience in this field over the last fifteen years has taught him how to tackle obstacles homebuyers may face. He can help buyers and sellers with the problems that may arise in any transaction. Ira states, “My goal is to represent my clients to the best of my ability within the scope of my expertise. This will help them get the best deal, in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of inconvenience.”
